Student Leadership Academy

Information for Organizations

The Student Leadership Academy (SLA) is a leadership development and training program that connects university and college students, as well as recent graduates, with career opportunities in the labor movement. Prospective interns must apply for the program, which includes a two day training, along with an 8-week paid internship. Interns will work full-time and earn a stipend.

This program deepens young activists’ understanding and skills in labor organizing through mentorship opportunities at the host organizations and by engaging them in active campaigns.

What does it mean to participate as a host organization in SLA?
